FAQs Flyride and Flyboard
How does the Flyride “fly”?
The Flyride hydro-flyer is securely connected to the Sea-Doo with a pump interface and a flexible, heavy-gauge rubber hose that can vary in length, but Sunshine Flyrides’ is 23 meters. The Sea-Doo provides the propulsion to the Flyride hydro-flyer, while the controls (except for optional Child Mode) are your own for speed, turns and height.
How Safe is Flyriding or Flyboarding?
Both the Flyride and Flyboard® have been extensively researched with safety in mind. The turbine engines and controls of the Flyboard® have been designed to work with the natural movements of the human body, with built-in stabilizers for balance, independent of controls, with numerous back-up systems in the event of engine cut-outs. The boots are also quick-release in case of an emergency water landing. The Flyride not only benefits from all the safety features of the Flyboard®, it has the added advantage of being operated from the seated position with the familiar motions used in riding a bike or motorcycle. Philippe is qualified and trained to maximize the security and peace of mind of all participants to make sure that they have as much fun as possible, that they outdo themselves, and have an unforgettable experience!
